About Our Groups
Who We Are
We're an organization creating inclusive spaces for teens with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) to connect, be themselves, and make friends. Our 'We've Got Friends' groups offer a safe, fun environment for participants to express themselves, with both in-person and virtual options to suit your family's needs. No judgment, just friends!
Join us to discover these unique groups and how your family can get involved.
In-Person Groups
Our in-person groups are organized by chapters, each representing a specific physical location for teens to connect with friends near their homes. Families are also encouraged to explore other chapters to expand their social circles!
Currently, in NJ, our chapters are located in Montclair, West Orange, Paterson, Morristown and Newark. During 90-minute in-person gatherings, teens enjoy free activities like food, music, dancing, games, and crafts, with an emphasis on inclusivity and friendship building.

Virtual Groups
Amid the pandemic, we shifted entirely to virtual groups, and the kids loved them so much that we've decided to continue offering them alongside our in-person sessions.
Join us on Zoom for 60-min themed virtual gatherings, offering options like trivia, games, dancing, music, singing, or simply chatting.
Participation is optional when you log in; however, group interactions can lead to stronger connections.
